Miso Pork and Mushroom Nabe (sort-of recipe)


I made this for dinner tonight after being inspired by a friend's recent interest in nabe. It's a very common Japanese dish, particularly during the winter; you can get it at some restaurants, but it's more often sort of a comfort food home-cooked meal. It's convenient and very easy, particularly given how awesome it can be and how much you can mess with it without screwing it up.
